有点疯的人性格很奇怪，有时候超爱说话，有时候可以一天不说话的时候，会拼命的说话，不高兴的时候，一句话也不说；
有点疯的人不爱记仇，但谁对他好谁对他不好，他还是记得很清楚的；

Was planned to see Pitbull concert but have no more tickets. Jason got the info that Pitbull will going to Republic after the concert, so we try our luck to go there to meet Pitbull. We waiting and waiting and waiting until most of the clubber gone but still no show up. Mandy Sua went to ask the security guard (boucer) there, and we got the bad news that Pitbull not feeling well and not coming already. What a sad news!!! Missed Black Eye Peas n' Pitbull concert in Manila. :(

Anyway, still a fun n' happy night with them.

This month November, we LOCA group has been visiting to Tahan-Tahanan, a halfway house in East Avenue Medical Center which houses more than 100 cancer-stricken children.

These children are from far provinces but are sheltered temporarily in Tahan-Tahanan, while they undergo medical treatments in Metro Manila.

Tahan-Tahanan is a haven for kids with cancer. Caring for kids who are afflicted with cancer is very stressful for both the kids and their parents. It requires commitment of the parents to bring their kids for treatment for at least a year. Expenses for diagnostic and therapeutic modalities are restricting especially for the poor.Notwithstanding, society, and the public authorities, shall have the duty to extend particular care to those kids without adequate means of support.

That is how Tahan Tahanan was conceived.
Truly, Tahan Tahan has set to bring happiness to these ailing kids, giving much-needed help to the kids and their needy families in their distressing plight. After all, happiness is “an illusive, transitory thing but if you bring happiness to someone else, then it comes to you.”

妳穿什麼尺寸的胸罩？妳的嗅覺如何？大學時穿的牛仔褲現在還穿得下嗎？根據《預防》(Prevention) 雜誌網站報導，這些問題的答案，以及其他奇怪的身體線索，也許是令人驚訝的預測器，攸關妳未來的健康。

經過一連串的研究，科學家發現愈來愈多的身體特徵和線索，可能是阿茲海默症、糖尿病、癌症等疾病的早期徵兆。準備好鏡子和皮尺，做以下十個自我測試來預測未來健康，並瞭解改變命運之道。

特徵一：食指比無名指短

危險徵兆：得膝關節炎的機率是其他人的二倍。

據 2008年《關節炎及風濕病雜誌》（Arthritis & Rheumatism）的一篇研究指出，大部份食指短於無名指的都是男性，具有這種特徵的女性，其雌激素分泌也較低，可能因此導致膝關節炎。

預防之道：強化膝蓋周圍的肌肉，坐的時候將二腿伸直與地面平行，每次支撐5-10秒，共做10次。

特徵二：身高超過5呎2吋（1米 57）

危險徵兆：缺少有助活到100歲的基因突變。

據美國《國家科學院院刊》（Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences）的一項研究顯示，身高超過5呎2吋（1米57）的女性也許活不到100歲。

預防之道：傚法有許多百歲人瑞的加州安息日教派生活習慣：不吸菸、少喝酒、少吃肉。

特徵三：腿短且粗，長度在20-29吋（51-74 釐米）之間

危險徵兆：易得肝病。

據《流行病及社區健康期刊》（Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health）2008年一篇研究指出，女性如果腿粗短，可能有四種酶的濃度較高，易得肝病。童年期的營養狀況不僅影響發育，並且也影響成年以後肝的健康。

預防之道：避免吸收毒素讓肝臟分解，肝臟才會更健康、用得更久。接觸或使用強烈的化學製品時戴上面具及口罩。如喝酒每天不要超過一杯（5盎司）或啤酒一罐（12盎司）。

特徵四：嗅覺受損，不能分辨香蕉、檸檬、肉桂或其他東西的氣味

危險徵兆：四年內罹患帕巴金森氏症的機率是一般人的五倍。

根據《神經學年報》（Annals of Neurology）2008年刊登的研究指出，腦部掌管嗅覺的區域是最先受巴金森氏症衝擊的部位，嗅覺受損通常於確診前2-7年即已出現。

預防之道：補充魚油。Omega-3脂肪酸可以提高腦部對MPTP的抵抗力，MPTP是一種有毒的酸性化合物，為導致巴金森氏症的元兇。

特徵五：手臂短，臂寬不到60吋（1米52）

危險徵兆：得阿茲海默症的機會是其他女性的一倍半。

伸手搆不到壁櫥的頂嗎?根據《神經學》（Neurology）2008年刊登的研究指出，將手臂左右平伸與地面平行，從右手指尖到左手指尖的長度就是臂寬。臂寬較短可能是因為發育期間營養不良或其他缺陷造成，也可能預示成年後認知功能衰退。

預防之道：培養繪畫或陶藝等需要用到手臂的嗜好。拉什大學醫學中心（Rush University Medical Center）阿茲海默症中心一項為期五年的研究發現，積極投入休閒嗜好的人，比其他不常動腦的人得阿茲海默症的機會至少低了2.5倍。

特徵六：耳垂有線形皺紋

危險徵兆：易發生心臟血管問題。

《美國醫學期刊》（The American Journal of Medicine）指出，一邊或兩邊耳垂上有線狀皺紋的人，預示未來將發生心臟血管問題，如心臟病發作、進行心臟繞道手術或死於心臟病等。即使把其他致病因素納入考量，一邊耳垂有皺紋，會使患病機率增加33%，二耳都有則增加了77%。專家推測，由於缺乏彈性纖維而產生皺紋，也使血管失去彈性導致動脈硬化。

預防之道：用其他方法保持心臟健康：減重、降低膽固醇和血壓。

特徵七：四十歲時的牛仔褲尺寸較大

危險徵兆：七十歲得老年痴呆症的機會是其他人的3.6倍。

根據《神經學》（Neurology）2008年刊登的研究指出，即使沒有過重，40歲時肚子較大的人，到了70歲以後得老年痴呆症的機會是其他人的3.6倍。可能的原因是，相較於皮下脂肪（皮膚下方的明顯脂肪），內臟脂肪（器官周圍的危險脂肪）隱藏著更多與認知功能衰退有關的荷爾蒙。

預防之道：定量的吃地中海型食物。研究指出，橄欖、堅果、種子、酪梨、黑巧克力中含有單元不飽和脂肪酸，可以防止體內堆積內臟脂肪。

特徵八：胸部尺寸在D罩杯以上

危險徵兆：得糖尿病機率是A罩杯女性的1.5倍。

《加拿大醫學會期刊》（Canadian Medical Association Journal）一項為期十年的研究指出，20歲時穿著D罩杯以上的女性，得第二型糖尿病的機率是穿A罩杯女性的一倍半，即使將肥胖、飲食習慣、吸菸及有家族病史等因素納入考量也是如此。可能原因為，女性胸部的脂肪組織對荷爾蒙較敏感，影響胰島素阻抗性而導致糖尿病。

預防之道：運動時加入高強度間歇訓練。一項研究發現，成年人在運動腳踏車做6次衝刺，每次半分鐘，中間休息4分鐘。做完後身體代謝糖份的能力提昇了25%，足以降低得糖尿病的風險。

特徵九：小腿圍小於13吋（33釐米）

危險徵兆：易長出頸動脈斑塊。

雖然聽起來違背直覺，2009年《中風》（Stroke）雜誌發表的一篇研究指出，腿肚較細的女性容易長出頸動脈斑塊，這是中風的已知危險因子之一。研究人員推測，粗腿肚的皮下脂肪，或許會將血管中的脂肪酸抽出儲存，較不易造成危險。

預防之道：不必把腿練粗，只要喝綠茶讓心臟常保健康。一項對40,500位日本男女性的研究指出，每天喝5-6杯綠茶的人，死於心臟病和中風的風險最低。

特徵十：血型為A型、B型或AB型

危險徵兆：得胰臟癌的機會是O型人的1.44倍。

這是波士頓達納法博癌症中心（Dana-Farber Cancer Institute）及哈佛醫學院最近針對107,503位成人所作的研究結果，這可能意味著決定血型的基因也會在遺傳上使人具有胰臟癌風險。

預防之道：服用維他命D補充劑。2006年的研究顯示，每日攝取300國際單位（IU）以上的成年人，與每日攝取150 IU以下的成年人相比，罹患胰臟癌的機率降低了44%。低脂乳品及鮭魚等魚類是食物中維他命D最好的來源。

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy (or physiotherapy), often abbreviated PT, is a health care profession. Physical therapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment/intervention,and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a discipline that aims to promote health by enabling people to perform meaningful and purposeful activities. Occupational therapists work with individuals who suffer from a mentally, physically, developmentally, and/or emotionally disabling condition by utilizing treatments that develop, recover, or maintain clients' activities of daily living. The therapist helps clients not only to improve their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also to compensate for permanent loss of function. The ultimate goal of occupational therapy is to help clients have independent, productive, and satisfying lives. Furthermore, occupational therapists are becoming increasingly involved in addressing the impact of social, political and environmental factors that contribute to exclusion and occupational deprivation

About Cerebral Palsy

Nature & Prevalence:

Cerebral Palsy (CP) is known as a developmental disability since it influences the way children develop. In the United States, more people have CP than any other developmental disability, including Down syndrome & epilepsy. It is the most common disorder that affects children & adults in the world. In the Philippines, there are more patients with CP than those with polio, spinal lesions and other movement disorders combined which approximate about 1-2% of the total population. Despite this, there is no government program that addresses this condition; both in treatment and prevention.

What is Cerebral Palsy (CP):

CP describes chronic conditions affecting body movements and muscle coordination. An early non-progressive brain lesion which is not episodic, leads to a motoric deficit, disorder of tone and posture.

Causes:

Includes damage to areas of the brain- before, during or shortly after birth, including genetic diseases and embryologic abnormalities, infections during pregnancy, insufficient oxygen reaching the fetus, prematurity, asphyxia (lack of oxygen) during labor and delivery, blood diseases, severe jaundice, other birth defects; there is, likewise, acquired CP (head injuries).

Effect:

"Cerebral" refers to brain & "Palsy" to a disorder of movement or posture. Injury to the brain (cerebral) prevents body muscles to be used normally. CP is neither a disease nor an illness; it is neither progressive nor communicable; it is not contagious. The movement and other problems associated with CP affect what a child is able to learn and do in varying degrees through life. Depending on which areas of the brain have been damaged, these may occur: muscle tightness or spasm, involuntary movement, disturbance in gait and mobility, abnormal sensation and perception, visual, hearing or speech impairment and seizures. The body becomes twisted due to the uneven pull of the muscles resulting in joint dislocations and deformities. More severely affected suffer from epilepsy, autism and mental retardation; deafness and blindness. It is not "curable" but education, therapy and applied technology can help persons with CP lead productive lives. Although some children with very mild CP recover by the time they are school-aged, CP is a lifelong disability. Some patients can attend regular school, get married and find employment. However, a great majority of CP patients depend on help from others in their entire lifetime.

Diagnosis:

Identify disabilities early. Before a child can be appropriately diagnosed with CP, their pediatrician must first look closely at both the child and the mother's medical background to determine if there are any known causes of CP present in the history. Often, a child with CP will use the hand that is not always the most practical to them due to the fact that depending on the brain damage, one (1) side of the body will be stronger than the other side that is affected. When CP has been diagnosed, the doctors may request for a cranial ultrasound, x-rays, CT scans or MRI to determine the possible cause/s of CP. Parents may become concerned about their baby's development if the child is having problems learning to roll over, sit, crawl or walk. Parents, always, should discuss these concerns with their baby's pediatrician.

Warning Signs - Suspected CP:

Your general pediatrician checks the baby's motor skills and reflexes and will be able to spot warning signs for CP. These include weakness, early hand preference, abnormal postures, irritability, feeding difficulties, delayed or impaired speech, excessive or feeble crying, slow weight gain, and very slow or failure to develop motor skills.

Prevention:

Rh disease and congenital rubella syndrome used to be causes of CP. Currently; Rh disease can be prevented when an Rh-negative pregnant woman receives appropriate care. Women can be tested for immunity to rubella before pregnancy and be vaccinated if they are not immune. Babies with severe jaundice are placed under phototherapy. Head injuries among babies can be prevented when they are secured in car seats properly positioned in the backseat of the vehicle. Routine vaccination of babies (with the Hib vaccine) prevents many cases of meningitis. A woman can help reduce her risk of pre-term delivery when she seeks early (ideally starting with a pre-pregnancy visit) and regular prenatal care and avoids cigarettes, alcohol and illicit drugs.

Prognosis:

CP damage is permanent. Mental and thought processes are not always affected, so the patient's IQ may be normal or even above normal, but they are trapped in their bodies with their disabilities. There is no cure for CP. Damage to the brain is a permanent condition but not progressive in nature. The condition will not worsen.

Treatment:

This is best accomplished by a multi-disciplinary team composed of a developmental pediatrician, a neurologist, orthopedist, ophthalmologist, ENT specialist, gastroenterologist, pulmonologist, rehab and non-physician members - physical and occupational therapist, orthotist, speech & language pathologist, social worker, psychologist, educators, parents and caregivers. The needs of the child are assessed and an individualized treatment plan will help the child reach his full potential. Philippine Cerebral Palsy [Rehabilitation Center], Inc. is the only non-stock; non-profit foundation dedicated to the treatment and alleviation of CP and related motor disorders in the Philippines.

I decided to have a buffet party at my house for my 21st birthday.

It's a bit rush to get a party on 5th of October because left 2 weeks only.

and ~~I'm so confused to choose my birthday cake.~~. every cake look very nice. really hard to decide. lol

Finally, I've choose this cake as my 21st birthday cake.

At noon, we went out to bought those ~~decoration thingy~~ for my birthday party.

Before the party start, we decorate together (make those ballon, tidy up nicely the car park in front my house). Specially thank you to both of my sister's bf (Weison and Andy). They climb up n down to put those ballon and those words. also have to thanks to my sister (Kei and Sock ee) for help me think of the decoration. and Zi Yin too. help me play ballon..hahaha..

Melaka Trip on 4th of October

We decided to have ~~1 day trip at Melaka~~ since Winnie, See Yim, Phiton and Siong holiday together also thought go there to find Jason but he don't want back at last.. ><
On that day, I went to See Yim house fetch them and went to PD find Siong and Phiton.
When we reach PD, we went to ~~Kar Siong's mum shop~~ to having our breakfast (wan tan mee).

After that, we continue our journey to Melaka.

Once we reach Melaka, we wanted go to Red House there thus we follow signboard keep turn around and around also can't get there. At last, we use ~~Papago~~ to search the place name via iPhone.

Finally, We are here at Melaka. =)

We bring Phiton walking around Bandar Hilir (Malacca) to view the historic city. At the same time, I capture few shots of various angles or poses there.

At noon, we went to Chung Wah Restaurant eat ~~Chicken Rice Ball.~~ yummy... ^^

After that, we went to a shopping mall ~~(Dataran Pahlawan if no wrong)~~ watch 辣死你媽! Nasi Lemak 2.0

男孩和女孩从小就认识，男孩经常约女孩一起去村外的池塘边捉小虾，每次男孩总是满载而归，女孩却是两手空空，女孩总是失落的含着眼泪，独自一个人回到家，然后闷闷不乐。晚饭前，男孩敲响女孩家的门，女孩一见是男孩，扭头就走，男孩追上前，对女孩说：“对不起，我把你的虾都捉走了，给，我把它们养在小鱼缸里，送给你。”女孩眉头一放，慧心的笑了，就这样反复着他们纯纯的童年，转眼，他们各自成长着。
